The Pencil Salesman

I've just spent a wonderful month preparing and conducting the world premiere of Brian Finley's new opera "The Pencil Salesman". Working alongside some terrific artists such as director Michael Mori, Baritone John Fanning, sopranos Donna Bennett and Virginia Hatfield, Tenor Keith Klassen, Baritone Roberto Longo, Mezzo Gabrielle Prata, and Baritone Alex Dobson as the pencil salesman himself. Brian Finley has created a fantastic score and libretto. Every performance received an immediate standing ovation - what a tour de force! With a hand-picked members of the Toronto Symphony, Canadian Opera Co. Orchestra, KW Symphony, National Ballet and Orchestra London players playing with precision, elegance and sensitivity making the whole production a joy to experience.
